Purchasing casino credit

Sorry if this is an old subject, but I can't find an answer to it specific to Princess. If I purchase "casino cash", prior to my sailing, can I simply cash the vouchers in at the casino and use the cash for whatever or does it have to be used in the casino? Thanks for the help.

The casino cashier will hand you cash which, being cash, can be used anywhere for whatever.

I have done it a couple of times and it's a good way to take extra $$ along without carrying it from home.

 

One caveat .... if you decide to do it, be sure to print off a copy of the page in the Personalizer showing the purchase to take with you.

 

I did that both times, and was glad I had done so on a recent cruise. I had purchased $500, but only ONE $100 voucher showed up in my cabin. I took my copy showing the purchase to the casino cashier, and they were able to give me the rest of my cash after verifiing it.
