luggage tags?

I use simple regular ole printer paper. Have a very small stapler and attach them each handle on my luggage. About 3-4 staples per luggage tag. Have never had one come off yet.

Exactly what we do. Also, I never attach them until the day of the cruise even though we drive to the ports. One more thing, yeah I'm a little over cautious, I put a copy inside each piece we check just in case the handle label gets torn off.

Hello, I just printed out my luggage tags from Carnivals website & have a question. How do you usually attach your tags to your luggage? Have you purchased something to put your tags in? Sorry, probably a dumb question, but I've never had to worry about attaching tags to my luggage. Thanks.

We completely cover them in packing tape to make them stronger and water resistant then use more of the same tape to attach then to our luggage it works well.

Never underestimate the destructive ability of baggage handlers. That being said, folding the tags as instructed, wrap tag around handle of bag and secure with clear packing tape. I have never lost one yet. Since our hard shell cases are smooth, I can also just tape the tag to the case.

It is a very good idea to print a few extra tags and put one half of one plus your home address and a cell phone number inside each bag. That way, in the unlikely event that the tag is somehow removed, there is still functional ID with each bag.

We've always done the cover with packing tape thing, but I use elastic ponytail holders to attach to the luggage - then I have extra for my hair if needed. We tie bandanas on our luggage as well to help identify at baggage claim. I like the bath scrunchy idea, though.

Never thought of putting an extra luggage tag inside the bags......good idea!

Every bag we own does have a strip of duct tape inside with our contact information,

name, address, cell number.

We are ready for our cruise next Saturday:)

:) I also picked up tag holders from serendipity - good quality and specialistid - less expensive. Both have held up very well to multiple cruises. Did you buy serendpity"s shower caddy? It is very handy.

Sorry to say I didn't, but I may now!

Ah! The good old days! I actually found these from my Valor cruise in 2006 along with my tickets that they would mail out! That was when you knew your cruise was really happening!

I went to Staples today and laminated my tags and will hole punch and zip tie to my luggage. It's not going anywhere.
