tropical83 Posted May 7, 2015 Author #26 Share Posted May 7, 2015 (edited) Agreed, when in doubt the pizza was the go to meal for our kids or if roaming the ship and needing something quick I will add to the food that the Red Frog Pub Grub was quite good, the wings especially, a little bit of a wait and the wings were rather small, but tasted very good, the grouper fingers I was less impressed with. Order two orders of wings in order to have more than a snack. Also Bonsai sushi was quite good, my DD8 likes sea weed and rice and they were able to accommodate her by simply choosing the California roll and marking through the veggies and fish. DW got veggie sushie the same way, just marking through the fish in the California roll. Tandoor, the Indian place, was very good, some of it was very spicy, a large part of the crew eat there for lunch, we enjoyed eating there very much. The hot fresh naan bread and chicken and rice, top notch. We did the chef's table which was excellent, well worth the cost. I'm glad you enjoyed the other dining options I didn't mention. I didn't try them at all. Thanks to everyone for the compliments. Sorry that this may not be the best review, I've read so many awesome reviews on these boards! But I'll post some more soon! tropical83 Posted May 7, 2015 Author #27 Share Posted May 7, 2015 A few pics from around the ship: Lido marketplace Again, I really liked the decor in here At night One thing I wanted to mention is that we found the floors in the Lido marketplace to be slippery. My husband fell in there at night and I saw a few people slipping around as well as myself throughout the cruise during the day as well as at night. The floors weren't wet so I am not sure why that would happen. Maybe it had to do with the shoes people were wearing? I'm not sure but thought I'd mention this. I haven't seen anything posted about this before.
tropical83 Posted May 7, 2015 Author #28 Share Posted May 7, 2015 I loved this picture of the starfish in one of the stairwells. There were so many nice pictures but this is the only one I snapped a pic of. Red Frog Pub: We went in here a few times and they had someone playing live acoustic guitar. tropical83 Posted May 7, 2015 Author #29 Share Posted May 7, 2015 Ocean Plaza: This is where a lot of activities were held. At night they had some karaoke here as well as a band playing. I didn't spend too much time here, I would mostly just walk through and check out what was going on for a few minutes here and there Lanai on Deck 5. Nice place to sit and chat. wrigley80 Posted May 7, 2015 #34 Share Posted May 7, 2015 The reason that the floors in the Lido are always so slippery is when the ship is going south you get the sea breeze and the tradewinds that make it slippery. Plus you have people coming and going from the pool area with sunscreen on. I try to avoid the Lido restaurant during the day because of the slippery floors
RenoNanaOz Posted May 7, 2015 #35 Share Posted May 7, 2015 Embarkation: We arrived at the Port of Miami at about 10am. Everything went quickly and we got Zone 2 boarding. We walked onto the ship at 12:15pm. We went to our room and it was ready so we dropped off our carry on luggage. However our checked luggage came late at about 6:30pm. Views of Miami from the ship: Myself I have almost the exact same picture, we were next door on the glory leaving on the 25th too. The breeze will be our next one, thanks for sharing your photos. tropical83 Posted May 7, 2015 Author #37 Share Posted May 7, 2015 Lido Pools/Hot Tubs: I enjoyed spending time lounging on the back Lido deck area everyday. I was always able to find a chair no problem, no matter what time I went. The mid Lido area was always more crowded so I never really bothered to find a chair there. However, I would go and check out what was going on or eat in this area. I also noticed a lot of available chairs on the higher decks along the sides of the ship as well as the Lanai area on deck 5. The pools were always full of people, but not so bad on port days obviously. The hot tubs were usually full from what I saw or at least had a few people in them, everywhere on the ship. The hot tubs on the back Lido deck had kids splashing around and jumping in them quite often. I went in the hot tubs in all areas of the ship a few times and found them to be a decent temperature. As for Serenity Deck, I went up there twice and it was full both times with a lot of people sleeping. I did use the hot tub once and that is about it. sandij Posted May 8, 2015 #39 Share Posted May 8, 2015 Does the Breeze not have the little rocking chairs out by the big screen? I always enjoy watching movies in them but I don't see them in your picture, which are great by the way.

legion3 Posted May 8, 2015 #47 Share Posted May 8, 2015 We didn't find it that slippery, but to be honest we did not do lunch there when the pool area's were in full swing. but even when cutting through the area it did not seem overly slippy. However, I have heard enough that it clearly is, we were just lucky I guess. Didn't see anyone fall last week.

That is when my husband fell and when I saw a few others slip around and lose their balance including myself. I didn't see anyone else actually fall though. tropical83 Posted May 8, 2015 Author #49 Share Posted May 8, 2015 Casino: The casino was always busy when I was in there. I played some slots but never won anything. On the Splendor last summer I had some luck on the slots and won about $250. My Husband had some luck on Roulette throughout the trip. I felt the casino was pretty big for a cruise ship. They had a nice selection of slots to play. A lot of people smoked in the casino and it bothered me as I can't stand the smell of smoke but oh well, I knew that smoking would be allowed in there. At the casino bar, on one side of the bar you can smoke and the other side you cannot which is good. A lot of people crowd around the casino bar because that is the only bar that shows sports. It was mostly basketball from what I saw. There were a few NHL playoff games on during the weekend but none were on during weekdays. My few pictures of the casino aren't the best: I liked the ceiling:
tropical83 Posted May 8, 2015 Author #50 Share Posted May 8, 2015 Piano Bar: The Piano Bar is on Deck 5 aft right near the Limelight Lounge where they have the comedy shows at night and some karaoke as well. It is in an open area not in a separate room like on the Splendor. If you are lined up to go into the comedy shows you will be right in the piano bar area. I guess it is a good thing since it may draw more people to the piano bar. Although some people were saying they like it better when the Piano bar is in a separate room.
