Any discounts/benefits to booking specialty restaurants on first night of cruise?

I was reading an online article about secrets to cruising. It mentioned there were discounts if you booked a specialty restaurant on the first night of your cruise. Any truth to this on a NCL cruise? I wasn't planning on booking a specialty restaurant but may consider if there is a discount/perk.

They used to give first night discounts, but not for while now.

Only advantage (discount) I can see is getting the reservation TIME that suits

your schedule. This especially in a NON-suite cabin. Maybe some very current

Promo that gives a discount & bottle of wine - unadvertised.

Keep asking NCL or your TA for a definitive answer.

There maybe a tie in with your Latitudes status ?

It has been several years since that was offered on NCL.
