DimSum Posted May 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2015 I was reading an online article about secrets to cruising. It mentioned there were discounts if you booked a specialty restaurant on the first night of your cruise. Any truth to this on a NCL cruise? I wasn't planning on booking a specialty restaurant but may consider if there is a discount/perk. DMH15 Posted May 6, 2015 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2015 With so many having the UDP I do not see NCL having to incentivize first night specialty dining. Before the UDP, and it being an included perk... Yes. Now? No.
the_lovely_voyage Posted May 6, 2015 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2015 (edited) I'm interested in finding out this answer as well. There was a discount for restaurants on the RCCL Enchantment cruise I was on in January and I'm hoping there will be when I'm on the NCL Sky in November! russianmom Posted May 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2015 There used to be a discount and/or free bottle of wine on the first night. I haven't seen that offered in 2 or 3 years now.

don't-use-real-name Posted May 6, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 6, 2015 Only advantage (discount) I can see is getting the reservation TIME that suits your schedule. This especially in a NON-suite cabin. Maybe some very current Promo that gives a discount & bottle of wine - unadvertised. Keep asking NCL or your TA for a definitive answer. There maybe a tie in with your Latitudes status ?
