I am sorry to say, I can only help you with half of this decision. I have been to Atlantis both on excursions and as a guest of the resort for a week. I would always recommend Atlantis. So much to see and do and I honestly think that if I pulled into port and saw that beautiful building rising up like it does, I would be sad not to go over and see it! We get the excursion that offers all access. We enjoy The Dig, the Chihuly glass in the casino, the pools, the lagoon, and yes, the water park. We are in our 40s and really love the rapids on the "lazy" river. It bars are handy and the pools are plentiful and we can always find a "Spot". There is beach access as well. I think it's a really relaxing day.

I hope someone that has done the other excursion can weigh in and help you. I saw your question and saw no one had responded, so I hope I helped a little bit.

Happy Cruising!

Thankyou somuch for taking the time to reply. Sounds like you had a wonderful time in atlantis! I think i will go with atlantis. I wonder if we did the dolphin swim we can use the beach after or before?

No, the beach package is seperate. You'll have to pay additionally to use the beach or any of the other facilities.

The "beach" near the dolphins does not allow anyone in the water. It's for viewing the dolphins only (and cost is additional as well).

Dolphin Excursions at Balmoral or Blue Lagoon allow access to the beach for free after then encounter.
