Dizzneefan Posted May 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 10, 2015 Just curious. How far in advance do you normally print your cruise docs?

Dizzneefan Posted May 10, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted May 10, 2015 We booked last year and the trip has been paid for a long time. We don't sail for 4 weeks but it's our first Alaskan cruise and I just want to get this baby started!
Nuff_Said Posted May 10, 2015 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2015 I've only been on one cruise so far, but I printed them out a couple weeks prior to sailing. I'm always worried that if I wait too close to sailing that my printer will end up being out of ink or some other Murphy's Law will raise it's ugly head. mzloolue Posted May 10, 2015 #6 Share Posted May 10, 2015 Maybe a week. Maybe the day before. I don't like to tempt fate.
Gardeneroflove Posted May 10, 2015 #7 Share Posted May 10, 2015 We typically pay in full when we book, print docs the day before we leave, it's on my list to do: bank for cash (needs 1's!), library (to print), take trash, get mail, oil change, clean out car, get gas, all that stuff. dioxide45 Posted May 10, 2015 #8 Share Posted May 10, 2015 Other than the boarding pass and the luggage tags, do we really even need to print the Cruise Docs? I haven't had to use them once yet in five cruises. I find it more important to print my travel insurance documentation.

You'll also need to print and complete the public health questionnaire. You don't need to print all the other documents unless you want them as a souvenir. Mkehlb Posted May 11, 2015 #11 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Printed my boarding pass, luggage tags, insurance info, copies of passports, credit cards, health insurance, hotel reservations, lost luggage/emergency contact info, carnival egift cards, David's reservation and proof of OBC today. We leave for Baltimore Friday. Oh, and changed the ink!

Though they had lots of those laying around to be filled out in the terminal.

PlayTheAces Posted May 11, 2015 #19 Share Posted May 11, 2015 Two to three weeks before. I'd wait until the day before when I actually start packing, but with my luck the printer or router would die, or I'd run out of ink, or something would go south. We're leaving on our next cruise the end of this month, so I suppose I need to print the stuff next week.
