Are Gratuities being auto-billed to your account?

For those of you who are on the Viking Star or who have just been on the Viking Star, are your gratuities being Auto Billed daily? I thought you could pay gratuities at the end like on the river cruises.

Gratuities are auto billed once during the cruise. A couple of days in.

I talked with a Viking representative on the phone and he said at the end of the cruise you can pay what's been billed, pay more or less at your discretion. He said it is up to you how much you pay even through they have added the tip to your bill.

A minor clarification for those sailing multiple segments. You get a cumulative statement about 4 days before the end of each segment. The total keeps increasing but it appears there will be settlement only once when you are on your final segment.

 

For example, our preliminary statement has tip entries for each of us for each of the three segments we have sailed on Viking Empire cruise to date (9 nights, 12 nights, and 14 nights at $14 per person).
