Does anyone know where the shuttle buses take you to when docked in Zeebrugge for Brugge, at the dock gates or in Blankenberge? We are thinking of making our own way into Brugge so need to know how easy it will be to get to the train station...

It was a couple of years ago & we were dropped off a short walk from the train station. We previously went to Brugge so took the train to enjoy Ghent for the day.

Hi, the port authority pick up from the ship and run the coach to the train station free of charge. It's very convenient and efficient. We used this service last year during a Cunard cruise. The train cost is only a few euros so buy a return ticket to save time queuing once in Brugge.

Take a map with you as it's a long walk from the station to the city but worth the effort, it's beautiful. Enjoy :)

We just returned from Zeebrugge. Here is what the Princess Patter said regarding shuttles:

"There will be an independent shuttle service to the town of Blankenberge. Tickets for the shuttle can be purchased on the pier for 12 Euros round trip. US Dollars will be accepted as the exchange rate of the day to be paid directly at the shuttle. The drop off point will be next to the railway station for those passengers who would like to take the train to Bruges, Ghent or Brussels. The first shuttle will depart at 7:30am with the last to return from town at 3:00pm. It will take 15 minutes to the drop off point depending on traffic. Please note - the port of Zeebrugge is a container port and for safety reasons it is forbidden to walk from the gangway to the main gate. For independent passengers there will be a complimentary bus from the ship to the port gate."

I was there last week when the Royal Princess visited. We hired a taxi for 50 euro each way. Took about. 20 - 25 minutes each way. Pickup at gate to port and taken to the central square in Bruges. IMHO. Well worth the cost to save the time.
