We sailed in this exact cabin a few years ago. It has a dining area, living area, separate bedroom railroaded together with the huge luxury bathroom. The balcony is standard size. There are 3 TV's and 2 DVD players. There is a refrigerator and Lavazza coffee machine. The walk in shower is huge - big enough to share! The bathroom floor is green. The tub is standard size, but nice. It does not have jets. There are 2 sinks and a separate makeup area. The bedroom and bathroom is separated from the living room by a sliding art glass door framed in wood. The carpet in this suite is green. It has a purple sofa. The wicker sofa in the photos is gone and the sofa is now all purple fabric. Other than that, the suite looked exactly like the photos. One thing I liked about this suite was that it was tucked in around the corner on the Haven hallway, which made the entrance a bit more private.

This video is of 2 bedroom villa and it's essentially identical to 14014 except that it has the extra bedroom and bathroom shown at the beginning of the video. If you pretend they don't exist, you are looking at exactly what 14014 will look like.

Here's a tour of the courtyard.

At any rate, this is a great suite and what got us hooked on cruising on NCL in a Haven Suite.

Well, our cruise was an unusual situation where a world famous person and his entourage were taking up 85 - 90% of the Haven and the entire floor was being discretely guarded 24 hours a day by his numerous body guards. Because of this, most of the time, we had the Haven to ourselves as the VIP and his entourage tended to congregate in one of the Garden Villas and only some of them used the Haven Courtyard in the early afternoon at most. The Garden Villas have so much private deck area, they didn't really need the space in The Haven. Of course, I'm sure it is easier to protect the VIP and his family if they remain in The Haven and within the Garden Villa as much as possible.

The following year, we were on the Jade in the Med again in an Owner's Suite which is not in the Haven area - it was on 10. At any rate, there wasn't anyone famous in The Haven on that trip. The Haven looked a bit busier, but not much, but we didn't really use it as we loved our suite and kept having parties there to surprise the people we were touring with - they were in regular staterooms and so it was fun for them to see the Owner's Suite. We had a fantastic butler who would bring food and beverages for the party and pose for photos with our guests. The butler looked like a model, had a great sense of humor and he loved hamming it up for the camera. Of course, we tipped our Butler big time for all this. He truly was wonderful.

Anyway, there is a massive sun deck for the Haven guests upstairs from the Haven. The Haven itself is fairly big and as to how busy it will be, I think that depends entirely on where you are cruising. There is also a steam room and small gym in The Haven. Neither were used on our cruises on the Jade. For our cruise in the Med, everyone was off the ship all day and then exhausted in the evening, so we usually had the hot tub to ourselves and the pool went unused as far as I am aware. Even the sun deck was unused. So, it was very nice for us to have these spaces to ourselves. But if you are going on a Caribbean cruise out of Galveston, then it might be a whole different vibe. There's just no telling. The Haven could be super busy, especially if it is during a time children are out of school.

So, what I learned from my 2 Haven experiences on Jade is that:

1. You never know who you will be cruising with in The Haven so don't promise your cruise critic group that they can see your suite until you know what's going on in The Haven. It might not be possible.

2. It's just a fantastic way to travel - like being on a completely different cruise. It really does feel like you are on a private yacht. We are addicted.

3. Suite guest breakfast and lunch in Cagney's is awesome.

4. The Jade's buffet gets over crowded in the morning. If you can't or don't want to eat in the restaurant for suite guests (Cagney's) at breakfast, then have your butler bring your breakfast to your suite unless you like being in a very over-crowded and frenetic buffet with people grabbing tables - you can't even get up to get a drink without someone trying to take over your table. If you do decide to go to the buffet in the morning, La Cucina - all the way through the buffet - is open for additional seating in the morning.

5. Always order something from your butler as they are eager to please and want to earn their tip. Even if it is just a couple of cocktails before dinner, a snack or a bottle of wine, do order something every day. The butlers also take standing orders. So if you would like to have a turkey sandwich and a cheese and cracker plate everyday after your tour, tell them and they will bring it.

6. Le Bistro is my favorite restaurant onboard.

7. If you prefer contour foam pillows, ask you butler for them.

Sorry you don't have a roll call.

The elevator requires the use of your keycard to access the Haven floor. There is also a private stairway that requires a keycard and we found the stairway very convenient for getting to Cagney's on 13 at breakfast and lunch. You will LOVE the way they do the lifeboat drill. The butlers get you an express elevator and you are escorted to an area where you can sit and then the butlers get you an express elevator back to the Haven. One day I was having lunch in Cagney's and this huge man who kind of looked like Cousin Eddy from National Lampoon Family Christmas Vacation suddenly came up to the windows and inexplicably took a photo of people eating in Cagney's through the window. It was weird but also funny. Oh and the breakfast...well, it is just wow! I'm not usually an early riser and don't care about breakfast, but the Cagney's breakfast is so amazing, I'm there every day! Smoked salmon rosettes, cheese and salumi's, yogurt and cereals and fresh fruit and that's just for starters. The menu offers such wonderful breakfasts! You will be thoroughly spoiled!

Not only is there the art glass sliding door, there is also a blackout drape that goes across the master bedroom alcove's archway. The window treatments in the bathroom let light in, which actually works out well since you will be able to find your way to the toilet and sink at night without turning lights on.

The two DVD players are in the Master Bedroom and the Living room. The third TV is over the tub. The only thing we were a little short on was hangers for the closet. I guess we could have asked our butler for more, but I had the kind of clothes with me that don't get wrinkled, so I folded most of my clothes and put them on shelves instead and let my husband use all but 2 of the hangers. (Btw, this was a 2 week cruise.)

Cagneys is also really good on this ship. Teppanyaki is very small (I think there is only 1 table or maybe 2 at most) and it's incredibly popular, so if you think you want to go to that, definitely get a reservation before sailing. Otherwise, it is full every single night.

Yes, of course I know who the VIP was. I met him several times and talked with him and various members of his entourage. We actually have some acquaintances in common. The VIP and his entourage are very nice people but I won't say who the VIP was in order to protect his and their privacy. Sorry.
