Oriana Dec 2015 ~ Christmas Markets?

Hello,

I am looking at a 4 night cruise on Oriana departing on 5th December, visiting Amsterdam & Bruges.

I assume that there will be plenty of 'Christmas Markets' etc to visit and would be grateful to hear from anyone who has done one of these cruises with any 'tips' of where to go or 'must see' things etc

Also, would the ship be decorated for Christmas or would it be considered too early?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Joan

We were in Bruges last year on 23rd November and it was the first week of the Christmas Market, so you should be fine for that. We went to Amsterdam and Bruges on Oceana in March and had a great time. We visited Anne Franks house but booked our own tickets in advance, €9 each I think. We were glad we'd booked as the queues were massive and we just went straight in. We also went on the City and Canal cruise excursion which we enjoyed. We got to see a lot in a short time, more than we would have on our own.

My brother is thinking of booking the 5th December cruise as their first cruise. I persuaded him a four night would be better than the 2 night on Oceana leaving on the same day. We really enjoyed our break
