brunolvr Posted May 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted May 22, 2015 If you want to support the locals (and not Diamond's International, etc.), a great gift shop in Skagway we found on our recent cruise was "A Fine Line Alaskan Gifts" at 555 Broadway. They had lots of locally made jewelry that was reasonably priced. Here's a website with other local stores listed: http://skagwaydevelopment.org/made-in-skagway/

There is an annual event called "Small Business Saturday" which encourages patronization of small local businesses.

We were on the 1st cruise of the season for the Jewel -- May 7, 2015, a 9-day RT out of Seattle that was great! We had calm seas and blue skies! We enjoyed dinner one evening with the Staff Captain, Richard Svardmark.
