We were in cabin 7371. The smoke smell in the room was bad all the time but made even worse when the neighbors smoked. All of deck 5 smells horrible of smoke, deck 4 we never really hung out at so I cant remember, deck 3 Atrium area smelled bad of smoke, the Lincoln dining room smelled as well (ate Dr Seuss breakfast ), Washington dining room was fine deck 3/4 aft as was the buffet on deck 9 aft.

I was on the Valor last month and it was smoky in the area of the casino but that was the only place I noticed it. We ate in the Lincoln dining room too and it was fine.

I assure you on Friday May 22 around 9:45am it smelled of smoke and we were not the only people who noticed.

My wife said one end of the dining room was worse than the other depending on what entrance you were near.

We did enjoy most of the shows in the Theater. I really liked the Last show where cruisers got dressed up and sang, I believe it was the Legends show. James Brown was really good!

I wish I would have seen the comedy shows. They must have been really good because the Eagles lounge was standing room only, but by the end of the day I did not feel like standing lol.

As far as Belize, jonboy, what time were you able to get your tender? We also have a ruins excursion booked there, did you feel it was rushed because of late tenders? Just thinking if they did this last week, it may be the same next week....thank you!!!

We were in the theatre at 7:45 per info from Carnival. We waited over an hour. As we were scheduled on the first tender due to the long Xanantunich excursion we were loaded a little before 9 AM I think. The CD explained that the Belize customs officials were late, however when we finally made it to our bus the quides told us the Belize authorities were waiting on the ship before we dropped anchor but Carnival didn't call. So were were well over an hour late leaving on our trip. We still had time for the full ruins tour, but we did have to eat our lunch on the bus as we drove back. We were on the last tender and as we left the dock the engine blew and left an oil slick and had very little power. We returned to the dock and were loaded onto a backup tender. We were over and hour late getting back to the ship. I think this was the first visit by Valor to Belize, hopefully they will get the tendering process ironed out.

nice pictures, for comedy shows especially adult ones need to get there early.

Thank you. Yes you are correct, I need to get there earlier but around the time before they start is bed time for the little guy and shortly after that I start to get tired. When he gets older hopefully it will be easier.

Photog your side of the ship is also where the smoke outside on deck 10. I wonder if that could have made a difference? We didn't have that on the port side. Also ours had the LCD flat panel TV in it, I was surprised to see a vcr/DVDs combo too. We didn't have anything to see if it worked or not.

While my daughter was a near teen and teen on our first cruises I don't usually make it past 10 or. But then I'm always up at 4:30-5:00 every morning. My internal alarm clock doesn't let me.

Possible?? That the air intake for his a/c area was close to the smoking area. Could be the reason when the ac was on it seemed stronger to him.
