negn Posted June 3, 2015 #26 Share Posted June 3, 2015 The 18% depends on when you booked and what promo you got. We traveled in Mar on CAS and had UBP. We did not have to pay extra as 18% was included Did pay the difference for anything over the $11. Have another cruise for October and do not pay the 18% as it was covered when we booked Presently, the promo adds the 18% and the customer is responsible for it Am sorry to learn we have to ask for our "free" dinners now. CAS is starting to make it less worthwhile to play.
grancayman Posted June 3, 2015 #27 Share Posted June 3, 2015 Hi Just to let you know...we got certificates in the room for the free dinners...you just have to ask the Host to make reservation. I'm assuming at that point they have the power to decide where your dinner can be and if you get wine?! It actually worked out well, because on the Getaway Le Bistro and Cagney's were completely booked for the week, so Cristina go us into Cagney's no problem. Tracy, we were charged the 18% and then it was reversed out on the bill. So that's probably what happened. I don't think CAS takes off any gratuities, but could be wrong about that. CAS can't remove DSC, gratuities and anything to do with gambling (Casino, Bingo, Deal or no Deal, etc.) Harriet
