How much is Bingo?

It's a pack of cards. If I remember correctly $35 gets you 3 cards for each game and there are 5 games. It's a lot of fun. I have never seen a bingo lower than $100 but I guess they are out there. I split the pot once with another winner and my take was $330. Not bad. Plus they normally give away champagne, shirts, keychains, excursions, and spa treatments thoughout the games.

Carnival's Bingo stinks. Usually it is only 1 game played for your $20. Only 1 time during the cruise we were on last week did they play 5 games but on 1 card. It was not very fun...and not worth $20 for one game. The prize $ was low, very low and they didn't give away squat. If you haven't tried it on Royal Caribbean I say try atleast once. Last time the snowball bingo went for $16,000!!!

A regular Bingo session is 5 games. It takes about an hour. A "6-pack" is $35 (a pack of 6 cards for all 5 games). For an additional $15 you can get an extra 6 card sheet for the last game of the session. If you come in late you can buy a 6 card sheet for the last game of the session for $20. If there is a Win-A-Cruise session (there wasn't on my recent cruise) it is $15 for a 6 card sheet for one game.

Don't ask me how I know all this. Let's just say I got a "free" $140 t-shirt on my recent cruise. :p (You got a "free" t-shirt on your 4th Bingo session of the cruise.) :o

ETA: Oh, on our recent cruise they also had available what they called a Kid Pack (3 cards for all 5 games) for $20. Kids can play but they can't collect a prize. An adult must do that.

On one of our cruises, a tablemate played every Bingo game they had on a 15 night Transatlantic. Her husband said she should just go out on the balcony and throw $35 into the wind twice a day. Then she wouldn't have to waste so much time sitting in the game for no return.

We've been fairly lucky at bingo, but not like one of our tablemates. He won the $9800 jackpot the last night.

Thank you all very much! I guess I'll have to try my luck at it at least once. We have gambling $$$ in our budget, and I'm sure I can easily burn through $35.00 in an hour in the casino,so this would be good change of pace. And my kids can play along with us, so that's a definitely plus. That way I can teach them to gamble at a young age.;)

Different times - Just check the Cruise Compass for the times each day. If they have a cruise bingo game, it's just one game, generally one evening.

The big jackpot game will be the last night in the theater unless someone wins it before that (Has been done, but odds greatly against it).

When we were on the victory last year if more than one person won they would split the prize. But on the last day the grand prize was a free cruise and two people got bingo and Carnival would only give the cruise to the first person who yelled it out. The second one who had it was mad as hell and I don't blame them.
