I have a cruise booked for next year on Ventura would like to transfer to

Cunard Q Mary has anybody done this recently? Is it still allowed?

About 1 year ago we transferred from Cunard to P and O, via our cruise specialist. Dealt with in one phone call. I think we had to pay the £100 admin fee, but I would not swear to it.

First time I have booked through agent so asked her to contact P&O she said

the answer was no! & said no-one would agree to it. Would it be possible for me to ring P&O directly would I get a different answer?

I have been dealing with a specialised cruise agent but will try ringing

directly thanks for replies. I will let you know if I have any success!

Why on earth would your TA say no...don't they want your future business.

Both brands are owned by Carnival ,and as has been posted there are at least 2 of us on here who have transferred no problem.

I would also reconsider using that TA in future.

Only problem I can see is pando say speak to your TA as the original booking was with them. Ask pando if they would agree to a transfer in principle, they should be able to answer for Cunard as well, then go to the TA and say pando /Cunard have no problem with this. Now will you transfer the booking over.

Yes please do let us know what happens

It wasn't my agent that said no, she had rung P&O who said it was not possible!

Anyway all sorted as I rang Cunard and there was no problem especially as the Cunard cruise was costing double but would have to pay £100 to transfer. She could not understand why P&O had refused as they are both owned by Carnival! Told my agent who rang & confirmed.I think P&O customer service is bad- anyway this will put me off booking again with them.

Caution before you go blaming P&O for it all - you don't know how the conversation actually went and it is possible that your agent could be covering her own tracks.

Anyway, the main thing is that it's sorted. I'm pleased you were able to transfer your booking.

Glad you got there in the end.

These things sometimes come down to the luck of who you speak to at the time.

Very true. I was recently given very duff information by one p &o representative that I spoke to on the phone, only to be told something very different by another two days later. As it turns out he gave me different duff info! Lost out all round but fortunately nothing major and was all sorted out on board.
