TrpngBilly Posted June 6, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2015 I've been wondering about how easy it is to change dinner reservation times once on board. I want to set up dinner for our group and have it all taken care of ahead of the cruise but if we then have a chance to look at the Freestyle Daily and notice an event or activity that conflicts with our dinner reservation, is it possible to change a dinner reservation? Anyone had experience with this one way or the other?
cyndepet Posted June 6, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 6, 2015 We sailed 2 weeks ago, and all the specialties were booked up solid, every night. We had reserved most of ours in advance, except for one night. We booked that once onboard. The next day we wanted to change the time, and everything was booked up to 9:00. And this was for La Cucina for 2 people!!! I'd play it safe and book in advance for a group. Then if you do need to change a time, you'll at least have something locked in just in case no other times are available.
PatJim Posted June 6, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 6, 2015 Oh, wow:eek: lots of UDPs out there! Yes, book ahead and then try to change once on board. If you're told the restaurant is solidly booked, try going directly to the restaurant and speak to the hostess or M'aitre de. It may be possible to get a booking that way.:) Otherwise, if your group is all adults, book 6:30 pm dinners, so you can get to the 2nd show or other entertainment--usually 9 pm and later.
