Rome on a Wednesday

Recommended Posts

Will we be able to see the Papal address? I guess it gets a little crowded, does the Pope do a blessing?

I have looked at some reviews and it seems easy enough to do on your own, my sister and I want to see the Vatican and B-I-L wants to see the Colosseum, guess we can do that in the time allowed.

Any other tips for us? I know we have to be covered (knees and shoulders) and have small bags

My Mum and I saw the Papal audience in which the Pope did give a blessing. We didn't have tickets so stood behind the barrier which was erected behind the chairs in the Vatican forecourt, St Peters Square. Just be aware that the Vatican is closed until after the address, after which there are big crowds queueing to get into St Peters
