Squirty27 Posted June 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2015 Breakaway is still in port. Isn't it supposed to leave at 4?

Rare mking8288 Posted June 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2015 Busy NY harbor, watching it live from the Highline @ Chelsea market/piers - GEM has turned & coming down the Hudson now, Breakaway should be next - just waiting for her turn to sail. Celebrity's Summit is now approaching VZB to head out to sea. Happy & safe voyage, perfect day for outdoor sailaway parties. P.S. Seafood lovers, this is the place to be - get your fixings of fresh salmon, tuna, jumbo shrimps & prawns, king crab legs, and, yes, lobsters - plus, fresh chowders. Indoors & nicely air-conditioned. send from my Google Nexus 7 MD 5.1.1 via Tapatalk

Here comes the mighty Breakaway ... Robin - have you seen the armed US CG escort gunboat with the 50 caliber ? sent from my Nexus 5/7 MD via Tapatalk Edited June 7, 2015 by mking8288
meatball_nyc Posted June 7, 2015 #8 Share Posted June 7, 2015 Yes, I have seen the US CG escort gunboat with the rifle in front the past few weeks. I saw the pix in your review and in some other reviews. We didn't have that on our cruise last year, just two regular pilot boats. Well, enjoy the perfect weekend weather today. It's going to get hot and stormy this week coming up. Cheers! ~Robin

bethanyio Posted June 7, 2015 #10 Share Posted June 7, 2015 We are getting ready to do our first NCL cruise and we were confused because we can schedule to arrive at the port well before the time it says to arrive - (can schedule to be there at 9:30, but it says not to arrive more than 1 hour before boarding time)... Any ideas about this - do you wait at the port? can you actually get on board? Thanks!
NYGirl1002 Posted June 7, 2015 #11 Share Posted June 7, 2015 I was just going over the Verrazano Bridge when the Breakaway appeared. It just took my breath away. I love that ship.

Any ideas about this - do you wait at the port? can you actually get on board? Thanks! I was on the May 24th sailing and we drove in from Ontario. We were at the port at 6:30 in the morning and they allowed us to drive up to the parking lot. We actually beat the parking attendant to work! They made us park at the top of the ramp and when the attendant came, just after 7am, they let us pay and park. We then sat in the cruise terminal until we boarded around 11:30am. It was a lot of waiting for us but we gave ourselves plenty of driving time, just in case.
