pliskin Posted June 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2015 There are outlets but sometimes only 2. I always bring a power strip and an extension cord. Most of the shops I've been on have just had US plugs but the newer ships have EU as well. Hope that helps.
Rare mking8288 Posted June 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2015 (edited) For the average/standard cabins - Insides, OV & Balconies - even for the "older" ships like the Sky & Dawn, they are relatively new and for the Dawn - at least 4 outlets - most forget the low current 110 volts inside the bathroom, usually high above or next to the mirror, for the shaver or cordless toothbrush - it will charge the digital camera or smartphone, tablets & ipads, etc. Almost all OEM/factory mobile chargers these days are auto switching dual-voltage one, operate on both 110 and 220, we always have 2 extra Euro adapters (not transformers/converters) - inexpensive & compact - to plug them in. Both our Dell & Sony laptops run on dual voltage chargers these days. The coffee/hot water maker is typically on 220 volts, unplugged and you can use it in addition to the other 220 outlet. The Epic/Breakaway & Getaway, along with the Gem, Jewel, Star & POA all have two 110 volt outlets - just be careful by not overloading the circuit, as maintenance will have to be called to reset it - no user accessible breakers/panels for access by guests. This picture is from the Breakaway, showing 4 outlets - total of 2 at desk/dresser height, two for 110 volts and two for 220 volts, plus the 5th one inside the bathroom (please beware, water & electricity don't get along) Edited June 8, 2015 by mking8288
