I like the whimsical magnets. The kind with springs to make them bob. They have been in the ports. I used to get the coffee mugs when they were smaller. Now they are too large for me. They take up too much room on my shelves. Also I like ornaments.

I always buy a colorful dish towel and a bottle of local hot sauce.

They have some ornaments in the glass shop in dockyard as well as the pharmacy in dockyard. I'm sure there are places elsewhere, but that's where I saw them.

 

I was also going to suggest the Pharmacy in dockyard. I bought a beautiful hand painted ornament from there.

 

Also the Clayworks store has ornaments.

I always buy a ship mug, the cruise ship shaped ornament and then in port I will buy an ornament that says the port name or country.

For several years, I've been buying a piece of jewelry - something unique that in someway reflects either the place or the trip.

I'm going to start collecting the ship pins (I have one, Epic)...small AND can use at work on my cork board as a tack :)

Depends on the itinerary;

Alaska - hand carved totem & an Ulu Knife, both locally made.

Caribbean - "Hook Bracelet" and Larimar

Hawaii - locally, hand carved tiki

 

I also look for nearest Hard Rock Café to pick up a coffee mug & guitar pin for DW.

Do the mugs have the ship's name on them or just NCL?

DH does shotglasses and I do wind chimes. We also like to save at least one cup or glass from each ship.

I always buy Christmas ornaments on the ship and in ports to add to my "travel tree" at Christmas. Even if I have visited the port before, I purchase an ornament and add a date.

What are your must have souvenirs from every cruise? Either from the ship / cruise line, or at your ports of calls?

 

I like getting beers/spirits that aren't otherwise widely available in the States.
