Can anyone confirm if the concierge can...

Just upgraded to an aft PH this week for our sailing on the Pearl tomorrow...

While I don't see us using concierge help that much, the one thing that does cross my mind is that in a suite you would get priority tendering. Being in Alaska and not tendering,is there still a possibility of service that would help us get off the ship more quickly? I was told suite passengers could actually be whisked through corridors not normally available to passengers. I ask only because of one port- we have a 7:30 Chilkhoot tour in Skagway. I know these tours obviously know how ships unload, but this is the one place that makes me nervous that the mosh pit to get off the ship could make us late to meet...the other days I'm not worried about getting off quickly and I'd rather not have wait at the exit area early.

Can anyone confirm this is something they've done before?

Thanks!

Yes. Let the concierge know of your early tour and they will get you off in plenty of time. You do' date=' indeed, go thru back corridors and employee lifts at times. Enjoy![/quote']

Oh,excellent! That sets my mind at ease. Thank you for your quick response!

We had a 7:30 tour in skagway and got off plenty early.

The concierge used the back halls in Victoria, but just did the priority elevator on others, holding the line and moving us to the front to get us off as soon as we got down stairs.

Equally important...no waiting in line at the gangway. She would recognize us, walk to our family, and move us past the line, straight to the metal detectors and security.

Thank you for your insight! It will be nice to not have to worry..knee surgery in May took running down the dock off the table for me.

We just returned from the Alaska Cruise (6/7). As mentioned Elvina will get you off as soon a the ship docks. Also, we were docked by 6:30am.

In 2012, Anoop was our concierge on the Pearl, He was always parked out near Cagney's in the mornings and was happy to escort us off the ship through the back passageways and crew corridors.

I used him to get off the ship in time for my Chilkoot Bennett Scenic tour.

However there was probably no need as there were no lines and the ship had cleared - like others said we were docked by 6 or 6:30.

Enjoy your penthouse cruise - we did
