Can Pere Antoni Beach, Palma - by public bus?

ello,

 

I would like to go to this beach by public bus. I did some research and someone had said they had taken bus #1 to go to this beach - Can Pere Antoni. But I still have a few questions:

 

1) How do you get to bus#1 from the cruise dock? Please give directions.

 

2) What bus stop do you get off at?

 

3) Can you bus #1 back to the cruiseport?

 

4) How often do the buses run on Sat afternoons? We only have a short time in port.

If you are at PONIENTE/PERAIRES pier you can take the bus 1 to stop

459 - Joan Maragall, 18. You can maybe walk from there, but to get closer you could take the bus 15 or 30 from there.

 

If you are at DIQUE DEL OESTE you might be better of taking the shuttle in to the center that is 5 euro round trip. From there you can walk up to stop 7 - Plaça de la Reina where you can take the 15 to the beach area.

 

I think transfers are only free for locals, but I am unsure. The bus 1 is 3 euro each way and the other bus is 1.50 each way.

 

The 1 runs every 13 minutes on Saturdays and the 15 runs every 10 minutes on average.
