coverage if family member is over 85

My cousin wants to book a cruise with us. My Aunt is 87. She is not in the best of health. If my cousin buys the cruise line insurance, will is cover her if she has to cancel because of my Aunt's unexpected hospitalization or death?

 

I read somewhere on cc that most trip insurance doesn't cover people over 85.

I think the age limit refers to those traveling, not family members at home. I would suggest a policy with a prexisting condition waiver, which usually has to be purchased within two weeks of the initial deposit. Family members usually include immediate family, grandparents, grandchildren. Research online a few companies and read the fine print. If that doesn't answer your questions, then call them.
