Breakaway balcony stateroom vs. minisuite size

I realize the bathrooms in the balcony staterooms are smaller. How is the size of the rest of the stateroom compared to the mini-suites. Has anyone stayed in both and can compare the feeling of space? Did the balcony stateroom feel cramped. Thanks for any answers.

On Breakaway I don't find the minisuite to be noticeably larger than the balcony cabin. I'd cruise in either. As you mention, the size difference is in the bathroom. 2 of us did not feel cramped at all in the balcony cabin.

The only difference is the bathroom is larger. The room itself appeared, at least to me, to be the same size. I read somewhere that if the bed is by the balcony instead of the bathroom it makes the room appear more spacious. I think it's true.

How does one know, or find out, which cabins have the bed by the balcony instead of the bathroom?

Thanks.

Thang I ks.

On the deck plans if the middle section caves in on the cabin, the bed is by the balcony. That's how it was on my getaway cruise cabin 8724. That's how I was able to tell before sailing and sure enough when I got to the ship, the bed was by the balcony. Breakaway class ships.

We too only cruised use to sail in MS. This last year we stayed in a balcony. We did not notice any discernible difference, minus the size of the bathroom. I would book the balcony on Breakaway again without any hesitation.
