We are sailing from Port Canaveral in Oct. on the Valor. We have FTTF booked. What is the earliest we will be allow to board the boat? If we get the Carnival shuttle from Melbourne airport will they pick us up in time to take advantage of FTTF?

Thanks

Rob

Usually they start moving the FTTF group around 1030-1100 to the second staging area. You are usually on the ship by 1130. But there are factors that can impact this, which include a later time of getting the current passengers off the ship, if the ship has to go through some extra cleaning or maintenance, and a large number of diamond/platinum/suite folks.

Until you've reached Platinum or Diamond status, one of the main reasons for purchasing FTTF is to be able to board the ship as early as possible (obviously), before general boarding starts. Although there may be some variation as to what time boarding starts, typically boarding starts somewhere between 10:30 - 11:00. Boarding starts with wedding parties, those with special needs, then Diamond and Platinum cruisers, and then FTTF. Keep in mind that the Carnival shuttle will not leave until it is full, which could make purchasing the FTTF a waste of money. If the shuttle doesn't arrive until after general boarding has started, I would consider that a waste of $59.95. Why not take a taxi? You'll be able to get to the port a lot faster, and possibly a little cheaper than the shuttle.

Agree about the shuttle; not sure what a taxi cost would be from Melbourne Airport to PC. But when you get to the port if boarding zones has already started, you will be able to board right after you check in and not wait for all of the zones to complete before you board. Plus FTTF gets you other perks besides getting on the ship faster.
