funcruiser1234 Posted June 23, 2015 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2015 How many ships can Nassau's pier hold at once? I know it is many, but what is the exact number?
runner15km Posted June 23, 2015 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2015 Seven, maybe less when a Monster of the Seas is in port. :D
scubagirrl Posted June 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted June 24, 2015 How many ships can Nassau's pier hold at once? I know it is many, but what is the exact number? Depends on the size of the ships. I've seen 8 ships in port, plus the tugs on the western edge. Even with the monster in port, it can take 7 plus the tugs and work boats on the outer edge. Rare CruisinCrow Posted June 25, 2015 #6 Share Posted June 25, 2015 I think the most ships we've experienced in Nassau while on a cruise was 3 or 4. Once when we were staying in Nassau for the weekend, there were 6 ships, including the monster. We stayed away from town that day! :)
fireofficer5 Posted June 25, 2015 #7 Share Posted June 25, 2015 (edited) Just wondering, how can there be more than four ships docked in Nassau? Oops, I looked at an aerial view, More than five ships, how? Edited June 25, 2015 by fireofficer5

Depending on the size of the ship, 2 ships can fit in a berth, end to end. When you have ships like majesty of the sea or Aida, it's an easy fit. There are also new dolphins that extend the usable area of the most northern dock. Your aerial may be before the new extenders and dolphins. crusinpsychRN Posted January 12, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 12, 2017 This was a trivia question--busiest port. Most said Miami but Nassau was the answer.
ladygal4.4 Posted January 12, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 12, 2017 This was a trivia question--busiest port. Most said Miami but Nassau was the answer. I walked a half a mile from my room to the pier at Nassau. The last time I was there, the port had 6 ships. It took forever to walk that far Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
bguppies Posted January 13, 2017 #11 Share Posted January 13, 2017 (edited) Holy Crap, when we are in Nassau on the Elation on the 26th, we are the only ship in Nassau. That will be a first for sure.... Edited January 13, 2017 by bguppies
