Skipping Belize?

They will only skip it if its dangerous. You will get a refund on your port taxes and likely your ruins price if you book it in advanced but definitely ask before you book. Its happened to me with Jamaica and grand caymen (different years, both in the winter) but never Belize. Ive been to belize 4 to 6 times.

You are traveling in the peak of hurricane season. You and your family should be prepared to have some, if not all, ports changed or missed. No one can tell when or where a tropical storm or a hurricane will appear and go. Seeing the ruins is a nice thing to do, but it's not the end of the world (that happened in 2012:D:rolleyes:). go ahead and make your plans for all your ports, and then wait and see. You could know if a storm coming across the Atlantic is possibly heading in the general direction of any Western Caribbean ports about a week in advance. But you may not know if the ship's itinerary is getting changed until after you are on board.
