Brandons / brighton beach ??

We will be on Barbados in February. We would like to just relax at Brandon's and or Brighton Beach, rent some chairs and an umbrella. Has anyone done this? I have heard it is close to the port. How should we plan to get there? I would love to hear any past experiences. Thanks. :)

I know Brandon's is right near the port and it appears that Brighton is just north of Brandon's. We were on a cruise that stopped in Barbados in May 2013 and planned to go to Brandon's beach but found out, at the time, that there were no "facilities" but that may have changed since it was 2 years ago. I don't know if Brighton has facilities or not. We ended up spending several hours at another resort for the day where loungers, restrooms, food/drink were available. Hopefully this can at least "bump" your question to hopefully get some more info.

We have been to Malibu Beach which is nice and clean, there are facilities there

and a restaurant. You pay a small charge and get a chair and umbrella also you get to see the Malibu factory and a Malibu punch.
