tea4ular Posted July 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2015 My friend would like to prepay her gratuities, I would not (I'll have shareholder credit which I'd rather use) - does everyone in the cabin (or no one in the cabin) have to or can she choose to while I choose not to? Thanks!
nol4am Posted July 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 1, 2015 All must pay at same time or wait to pay on ship.

quickrate Posted July 2, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 2, 2015 All must pay at same time or wait to pay on ship. I don't think this is true if you are on separate accounts. Just got off the Fantasy and I prepaid mine before My daughter prepaid hers. Pat
PalmTreeBound Posted July 2, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 2, 2015 I agree with quickrate. I have paid mine, and my cruise partner hasn't.

If only one of you paid the deposits for both, adding grats for only one could be a problem.
fuddrules Posted July 3, 2015 #8 Share Posted July 3, 2015 If she's been paying you just have her pay you for gratuities and then you are responsible to pay it all once on board.
near the beach Posted July 3, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 3, 2015 Have her take cash to guest services once on board and pay for her gratuities.
cranel Posted July 27, 2015 #10 Share Posted July 27, 2015 We always prepay. one less thing off my s&s. your going to pay it anyways. then use your shareholder for other great things :) The shareholder credit conditions indicate that it can not be used for the casino or gratuities. I assume this applies to the daily room gratuity charges. Am I correct on this?
LSUcajunmom Posted July 27, 2015 #11 Share Posted July 27, 2015 If you didn't check the box or elect to pay gratuities when you booked then neither of you have paid it yet. They will charge the acct once onboard. You can set up two different accts thru the online check-in or when you get to port and receive your S&S cards. Regardless of when you set up the accts, you will be charged separately. She can call at anytime and prepay her gratuities before sailing.
Legend Posted July 27, 2015 #12 Share Posted July 27, 2015 If you select to pre-pay your gratuities before the cruise then everyone in the same cabin will have to pre pay them.
