dreday3 Posted July 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 1, 2015 First cruise, Freedom of The Seas, end of November. Our only requirements for a beach are crystal clear water, pretty views and is in proximity of a bathroom.:D Does Lindquist meet these requirements? If so, best way to get there from where Freedom docks?

You're docked at Havensight (WICO) which is closest to the East End and Lindqvist and the $10pp taxi is sbout 20 min, taxis will stop to pick folks up for the return, or you can ask a driver to return. It's also a short walk from the beach to the road if you need to hail a taxi. If you want to pack a lunch the Gourmet Gallery in one of the Havensight buildings has a great deli. Lindqvist is now Smith Bay Park and there is a nominal entrance fee but unless there have been any recent developments it promises to be less crowded because of the lack of amenities. Have a great first cruise! :) Edited July 2, 2015 by blue_water

Packing a lunch sounds great and there is a bathroom around the beach? We just bring towels from the ship to lay on, right? Is it common to ask same driver to pick you up - would you suggest doing that? We are excited!!!!!!!
beautifulbill Posted July 6, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 6, 2015 The last time I was there they had porta-potties near the beach. There are a few picnic tables if you get there early enough to get one. It isn't uncommon to ask a driver to come back for you but it also isn't necessary. Some will come back and some may say they will not depending on what they have scheduled. The East End Taxi phone number is 340 774-7457 and they can send a taxi for you.

We spent a week in St. Thomas and visited several beaches but I don't recall visiting Lindquist.
blue_water Posted July 13, 2015 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2015 Lindqvist is between Sapphire and Coki, stunning beach. If you want more amenities with no crowds Sapphire is also gorgeous with nice island views. Just more character than Magens in our opinion!
