Rare chasinraynbowz Posted July 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 4, 2015 We are booked on the Pearl out of Seattle in a few weeks. I booked this thru CAS (I got a certificate from a land-based casino). Is there a special line for CAS guests? If I recall correctly, my last cruise out of NYC (booked thru CAS also), we had a special line to check in and then we were escorted to a special area for CAS guests. Do they have the same thing in Seattle? Thanks!!
gl1200a Posted July 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 4, 2015 Two years ago last month there was a cas line. I did not use it because there was many open windows/agents. Arrived around noon.
roger001 Posted July 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 4, 2015 We're not CAS members. However, there was a facilitator at the entrance to all the lines for check in counters. He directed us to the CAS line because it was the next shortest. Boarding had already begun. The whole process was so fast that regardless of which line (latitudes, first timers, CAS) it made little difference. We were then just directed towards the boarding direction and went onboard the ship right away.
Rare chasinraynbowz Posted July 5, 2015 Author #4 Share Posted July 5, 2015 Roger, what time did you get there? We are scheduled to arrive between 10 and 1030am.
Rare chasinraynbowz Posted July 5, 2015 Author #5 Share Posted July 5, 2015 Since we are getting there early, I am curious if they have a special area for us to wait after we get checked in.
MagnoliaBlossom Posted July 5, 2015 #6 Share Posted July 5, 2015 If there is a CAS event on the cruise there will be a waiting area because there are usually a large number of invitees. But if it is a case of using your coupon or booking through CAS there usually isn't. But that can vary from port to port and even cruise by cruise. There wasn't an event on my Gem cruise in October, but the port in NYC had a special area blocked off for CAS players. It's really no big deal. I am just wondering what to expect. Thanks!! :D
roger001 Posted July 5, 2015 #8 Share Posted July 5, 2015 Roger, what time did you get there? We are scheduled to arrive between 10 and 1030am. I can't remember that cruise time specifically, but we always shoot for a port arrival time of about 10:30. However, with boarding already having begun that time,we must have been 11:30ish or so. With 10:30, you are through check in very quickly with no waiting in lines at all.
