Hi everyone! My husband and I will be travelling on the Norwegian Getaway in August for our 10 year wedding anniversary. This will be our first cruise and our first time in St. Thomas. What are the best excursions? We are up for anything (expect scuba driving)!

Thanks!

If you enjoy the beach take a cab from your ship to Coki beach and spend the day there. Beautiful water, food & drink service on the beach, and chairs for rent. Plenty of cabs there to take you back to your ship when you are ready. Cab will be $10/pp.

Depending on what Tuesday you are in port you'll be sharing STT with 1 other ship or 2 others. And depending on what you decide to do on Tortola on Wednesday STT also offers some nice beaches and snorkeling on the East End. Some beaches like Coki and Magens ar very busy, while others like Sapphire and Lindbergh are less busy.

You're in port for 10 hrs so we'd recommend going to St John on your own. That would give you a chance to see the beautiful beaches there and also walk and shop Cruz Bay where the ferry docks.

If you choose this excursion you'll just hop a taxi that's heading to the Red Hook ferry, the taxi coordinator can help direct you to the right taxi, try to get off the ship early if possible. From there you'll take the 15 min ferry from Red Hook to Cruz Bay, St John where you can then take a taxi to Trunk or Cinnamon beach for $7pp each way, or take a mini-island tour (~$25pp) followed by beach time and a $7 taxi back to Cruz Bay.

Cruz bay has some nice shops, my wife bought a Hook bracelet at St John Bracelet Co near the ferry dock, custom-made to order and exquisite workmanship ((nice present for a 10th anniversary! :D) Cruz bay is also a great spot to grab a lunch before ferrying back to Red Hook.

Cost from the Havensight dock to Cruz Bay and back is about $$34pp for the roundtrip taxi and ferry so not expensive and you get a little tour of St Thomas along with the ferry ride.

Happy Anniversary!
