BobnPam Posted July 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2015 Planning to get married in Cayman on October cruise. Government website recomends using a Marriage Officers and provides a list of 50+ different ones. Anyone have any direct experience with any of them? We're really looking for simple support.... license, paperwork filed, private ceremony on the beach, basic transportation... any suggestions? cb at sea Posted July 10, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2015 (edited) Can't help with your question, but do make sure you have a "back-up" plan...cruises do miss the Caymans fairly frequently, due to the tendering situation...if it's too windy or the waters are too rough, you will skip that port. Just a heads up! Edited July 10, 2015 by cb at sea
drew sailbum Posted July 10, 2015 #3 Share Posted July 10, 2015 A Marriage Officer is the officiant, but typically does not coordinate the whole event. You might want to engage the services of a company to organize getting the Marriage Officer, marriage license, event location, photographer and all of that for you. A few I've heard of include: Celebrations Creativent Cayman Weddings by Simply Weddings Major hotels also typically have an event planner on staff who could accommodate your needs. sunluva Posted July 16, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 16, 2015 We got married in Grand Cayman. Royal Caribbean handled everything through their wedding dept. It was perfect! They did all of the leg work. Have you looked to see if your cruise line offers that? Sent from my LG-V410 using Tapatalk
