Kasajfive Posted July 14, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2015 I have a family suite and I asked what ammenities it came with. It says bottled water/ soda so is that included or would I have to pay per soda? Should I get the soda package if I am booked in a suite or is it complimentary included? Thanks new to cruising. Kasajfive Posted July 14, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted July 14, 2015 I heard you also get to eat breakfast and lunch at Cagney's. We are in a Family suite.
teakea Posted July 14, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2015 Yes you do get to eat breakfast and lunch at Cagney's. That's our favorite suite perk. Are you staying in the Family Suites on deck 12 or a 2 bedroom family suite?
gail-s Posted July 15, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 15, 2015 Soda and water are not included in the Dawn suite perks. We had a Family Suite with a balcony. You received one bottle of water and one bottle of sparkling wine when you got on board. Anything you use after that is charged from the mini-bar. DD has the soda package and we had the UBP so we didn't mind. Breakfast and Lunch at Cagney's was great. The perks of getting on and off the ship with ease was unexpectedly fabulous. We loved being able to walk onto a show and not having to fight for a seat (there were always empty seats in the balcony). The concierge and butler were nice and would have done anything for us. The cookies and snacks and the fruit basket were awesome to hold us over in the afternoon. We liked it so much we booked again for next year. splendoraway Posted July 15, 2015 #9 Share Posted July 15, 2015 A family suite that sleeps 6 single room 12506 We are booked in that particular suite in October on the Dawn. We have never been in a suite before either. Please post on how you liked and/or disliked that room. Also, does anyone know who the concierge is on the Dawn and if he/she is helpful. We will only use the concierge for dinner reservations but I have read on cc that some go over the top to accommodate you in any way and others just tell you that the venue is full and you are out of luck.
Rare mking8288 Posted July 15, 2015 #10 Share Posted July 15, 2015 The perks/extras begin with - usually - priority/dedicated pier check-in area and boarding ahead of most guests (escorted) and priority/preferred disembarkation, and tendering (only for certain ports or itineraries, i.e. not really necessary or offered for Bermuda runs) Should be white bath robes in the suite for use along with upgraded/extra toiletry items in the bathroom. Plus, for shows in the main theater, reserved box seating upstairs in the roped-off section. You will have access to a pre-cruise concierge ahead of sailing for special requests & dinner/show reservations, and of course, the welcome packet of info in the suite upon arrival to explain all the current "perks" offered on the sailing. And, you have an exclusive in-room cordless phone for use to contact your butler & concierge.
gail-s Posted July 16, 2015 #11 Share Posted July 16, 2015 Karabi is the concierge on the Dawn and she is wonderful. We had an SD 12026 for the July 3rd trip and it was fabulous. We booked the same room for next year.
gail-s Posted July 16, 2015 #12 Share Posted July 16, 2015 As soon as you get in the line for security in Boston play dumb and ask where you're supposed to go. The witch in the security line scared me so I didn't ask and the. I saw a bunch of people being whisked past the line and I was ticked. Once they saw we were suite guests we moved right along. Kasajfive Posted July 16, 2015 Author #13 Share Posted July 16, 2015 So who do you tell that you are a suite guest in order to skip through? Wouldn't you still have to wait in a long line to get to a desk to tell someone who you are and what room you are in?
