akayel Posted July 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2015 We are booked on the maiden TA in October. On return the ship docks in Barbados at 6am and we fly back to the UK at around 6pm. We would like to have a wander around the local area, without our suitcases! if anyone could advise on where we can leave them? Many Thanks
BrianI Posted July 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2015 Your main luggage is put outside your cabin before you retire on your last night. The next time you will see it is at your UK airport. P&O normally have a designated area where you can leave your hand luggage, which leaves you free to go ashore. Brian

Many Thanks You put your cases outside your cabin door by a stated time the night before and these are taken directly to the airport - you won't see them again until the baggage collect at your arrival airport. You will need to keep whatever you need for over night and the travel day in your hand luggage. You will have to vacate your cabin by around 8 am and there is a secure store provided on board for hand luggage so you can even leave these behind whilst you enjoy some time in Barbados. Of course keep valuables like cash, passports etc with you. You can come and go from the ship as you wish during the day. You will have a designated time to be transferred to the airport - perhaps 2.30/3pm for your flight time. So you have a good few hours to go into Bridgetown, to the beach, on an organised trip or taxi tour until then should you want to without the encumberance of luggage. (If you wander into Bridgetown, the Bridge House on the waterfront by the pedestrain bridge is a good place for a refreshment break.)
Henrietta30 Posted July 20, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2015 Hi in addition to the information you already have about the cases. P&O also will let you book a day cabin. This allows somewhere to leave your valuables and also to have a shower before your trip home. If you are on one of the latest flights to leave the ship this can be really helpful. think they are about £40 ish for an inside which is perfect
Holly24 Posted July 20, 2015 #5 Share Posted July 20, 2015 Before you are allowed off ship when docking in Barbados you may have to attend a mandatory immigration thingy, to have passports stamped, po run this like clockwork and are very organised, but they can take anything from 20 min to an hour. All of the details will be delivered to you cabin a couple of days before in the return flight envelope with all of the details you will need. Have a wonderful time.
