Best booking sites

Where do you think its best to book through carnival.com, other discount site.or private travel agent ? Any suggestions on how far advance is will secure you best deals ..?

I always book directly with Carnival. I don't like having a middleman if there are any problems.

Also, when booking direct with Carnival, if you need to cancel before final payment, your deposit is all refunded. When booking thru some of the other big name sites, you will be refunded, minus a booking fee, usually of $50 per person.

We book thru Carnival. If booking thru a travel agent, then all communication must go thru them. Carnival will not talk to you about your booking, they will only talk to the travel agent.

 

If there is a problem or a price drop, I like to talk to Carnival directly. Some travel agents will charge for any price drop submissions.

 

We aren't allowed to mention any travel agencies by name.

We like talking directly with our PVP at Carnival. I like to have control over our booking by speaking one on one with Carnival in case anything comes up.

Yikes...my TA is a family member, never been charged. I never considered a TA would do that.

 

I wouldn't use TA but for the fact she is family.

I use a TA for the OBC which is usually about 8 to 10% of my total fare. Yes, it is slightly inconvenient to not be able to handle any problems directly with Carnival, to me , it is worth the money. The agency does not charge me for changes or cancellations. I would not use them if they did.

We will usually book thru our TA but ever once in a while a TA we know will offer us a super deal.

We shop the entire market. So, that includes TA's and Carnival.

 

The TA usually gives the better deal. Which is, an OBC of 50 or more
