Cruise Cash v. Cruise Cash Bar

It's all OBC, no? The regular "Cruise Cash" works everywhere, including for bar purchases, the "bar" option only at the bar. Why would you buy the "bar" option if you can you use the regular everywhere? Am I missing something?

We earmark a certain amount for the bar for the week, the purchases will come from the bar cash first if we purchase something from bar or coffee specialty shop, so it is very easy to track that. We also prepay tips and of excursions so the cash we put on our sign and sail acct is for purchasing everything else. The cruise bar cash (or any other cruise cash) is use it or lose it so we want that to come off of acct first. Cash put on S & S acct is returned at end of trip if not used.

 

For us it is just an easy way to make sure we have everything covered.
