golf cart/bike rental rates

Any recent information about rates for bikes and/or golf cart rentals would be appreciated. Old threads talk about golf carts at $45. 00 per day but newer ones say $15.00 per hour, no daily rates. Seems like alot if you want to go to the beach for a few hours. The idea of the bus/taxi thing seems less appealing. How about bikes? anyone know the hourly or daily rates for these.

I understand you used to be able to walk to town along the beach but this is no longer possible. I thought beaches were public in Mexico?

The golf cars are $15 per hour, they used to rent them for $45 a day, but this is no longer happening.

You cannot walk to town anymere, due to the high security an intenational port needs. and you are right the beaches are public un mexico, but the pier has put a fence in order to keep the peope and ships safe.

You could also rent bicycles, ther are fun,. and Mahahual town is not that big.
