maudeUK Posted July 29, 2015 #4 Share Posted July 29, 2015 Do you have any particular questions ? We have done 2 quite long repositioning cruises on her, Dec last year and April this year. We found the crew/staff very friendly but on the pursers desk a little dogmatic and tour desk willing but not always informed. However our itineraries were unusual. We had wine and coco cola confiscated on boarding as policy is no drinks to be brought on board. They were quite strict about this. Drinks on board expensive depending on exchange as all in euros. A lot of Brits had the all inclusive drinks package but for us this was not economical as apart from a glass of wine in evening we don't drink much. However during cruise special offers came up on bottles of wine which could be kept behind bar and drunk by glass as you wanted and this was very good value. We found the Puccini Bar behind casino the best evening venue. Live music with Cabaret singer. At approx 10pm the animation team came and usually played some sort of parlour came to get everyone in a party mood and then encouraged group dancing. The crowd we had on were into dancing with some nifty movers. The animation team were great and had to do all this in several languages! On the Neo ships - including Classica dining is open in both buffet and restaurant. This suited us and we only used restaurant a couple of times. The buffet you need to take a look at before choosing what you want , as it is in different areas , salads, pasta, etc. initially we picked from main area and then saw something else we would have preferred ! If you prefer restaurant pick your time as it has very busy periods. At the front of ship(?Aft) at very top is a disco/lounge/bar which has panoramic views and is great for watching sail ins and outs but was totally underused when we were on. Sail aways around mid ships pool lots of fun if weather good. Hope you have a great cruise.

Thanks for the information, I really appreciate it. I have another question, I am travelling solo, do they share tables in the dining room, I hate eating alone? Thanks again. maudeUK Posted August 2, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 2, 2015 (edited) Hi Brian, You can also ask English speaking host when on board about sharing dining table. Hosts meet and greet guest in evening at entrance to dining room. Our first evening had a meeting of English speaking guests with host to give general info . swan705ca Posted August 12, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted August 12, 2015 HiOn Classica earlier this year and she has "his and hers "saunas at no charge, plus a Turkish steam room at no charge. Hi maudeUK, Getting confusing info from Costa about sauna and steam room, Costa tells me there is a charge unless you have a spa package. In your information you stated that you were on the ship this year after the new makeover, did you use the sauna and steam room or did you have a spa package? Thank you for some clarification.
