AA check at pier for FLL

Can anyone tell me if you can check in at the pier for a flight out of FLL? I know you can for MIA, since we did that last year. Our flights do not leave till 4:30pm and I dread having to haul that luggage all around if we decide to go over to the Bayside to waste some time before we leave.

From extensive research and what I've read on these boards, AA does not offer this service for FLL.

 

Get this: AA told me, in no uncertain terms, that they don't even offer it for MIA :confused: But your living proof that they do -go figure??

Just off the Empress and they had Luggage Valet which took your luggage to your flight after you claimed it in customs and checked you in to your flight from the Purser's desk.

Nancy, was that for a flight out of FLL? I have gotten so many different answers concerning this. We are thinking of renting a van to drive us all to FLL and enjoy the afternoon there before we have to be at the airport. Wish we could have gotten an earlier flight, but not possible:(
