NC&KY Posted August 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2015 Has anyone visited the James Hall (co-author of Mutiny on the Bounty) House on your own? We will be in Papeete for one day following the cruise with a good bit of free time, and it sounds like something worth doing, but I have heard that one may have to give them some notice that someone is coming. If so, I wonder how much advance notice they need. Visits as part of an excursion or tour aren't going to help me because the tour guides would have handled all those types of logistics ahead of time. Any offers of advice or help will be appreciated.;)
Wendy The Wanderer Posted August 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2015 (edited) I've been by it several times, but never visited. Here's the website: http://www.jamesnormanhallhome.pf/indexen.html It's a bit out of the way, unless you're staying at that end of town. But there is always the Le Truck, which definitely goes by, not sure if it stops right there. All the contact information is there, with opening hours on the "About" page. It does say if you want lunch you need to book the day before. Good luck. Edited August 7, 2015 by Wendy The Wanderer
NC&KY Posted August 10, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted August 10, 2015 Thanks. There's a link for sending an e-mail on the web page, and we've exchanged a couple of e-mails. I think we're set.
