AprilJ Posted August 7, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 7, 2015 DH and I tend to be up at the crack of dawn, just wondering where you can find coffee, tea and hot chocolate early in the AM? Also what time does the Lido buffet begin & the MDR open for brrakfast? Thanks!
Perez1992 Posted August 7, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2015 You can have it sent to your room
ULCajunCruiser Posted August 7, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2015 You can find coffee somewhere near the buffet around the clock. Not sure about tea or hot chocolate cause I never looked for those. I think they start putting out "continental" breakfast stuff in the buffet sixish, and hot breakfast items closer to 7. Again not sure what time MDR opens for breakfast, sorry. And as Perez1992 hinted, room service available around the clock
DobberDog Posted August 7, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 7, 2015 If you want a specialty coffee (latte, espresso, etc) the coffee shop doesn't open until 730-8 am every morning. Im one of those early risers too.
KenMo Posted August 7, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 7, 2015 There's a hot chocolate machine in the Lido buffet area.
Rare Honolulu Blue Posted August 7, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 7, 2015 DH and I tend to be up at the crack of dawn, just wondering where you can find coffee, tea and hot chocolate early in the AM? Also what time does the Lido buffet begin & the MDR open for brrakfast? Thanks! How early is early? I was on the Triumph in February and continental breakfast started at 6 on Lido on days in port, and 7 on sea days. You should be able to get your drinks then. Lido and the MDR both opened at 7 AM on days in port. They might be open a bit earlier if you have port stops before 8 (we didn't on this cruise). On sea days, Lido opened at 7:30, while the MDR had their brunch starting at 8:30. The Vienna Café aft of the casino sells coffee and pastries, along with a few other types of drinks. They opened at 7 each day. The café in the aft area of the Lido restaurant seemed to open various hours between 6 and 7:30.
AprilJ Posted August 7, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted August 7, 2015 How does the morning room service work, do you fill out a card and hang it on the door? We are typically 5 o'clockers, so coffee on the balcony with the sunrise sounds heavenly! I'm hoping since this will be our 1st trip in 5yrs without our DS, we may sleep in with the help of Cheers, so maybe 6am room service will be perfect! 😆
freedomcruiser891 Posted August 7, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 7, 2015 The room service is the way to go for coffee and hot chocolate!! Just fill out the card thing and leave it on the door for the next morning. They usually deliver an entire pot of coffee if you put for more than one person. Coffee and hot chocolate is also available 24/7 on lido
AprilJ Posted August 7, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted August 7, 2015 Our stateroom is on the Lido, so I'm looking forward to being able to grab coffee, drinks & food when all the spots open & eat on our balcony. I intend to spend a lot of time there so hope the chairs are comfy!! 😊
Rudyard Posted August 7, 2015 #10 Share Posted August 7, 2015 Our stateroom is on the Lido, so I'm looking forward to being able to grab coffee, drinks & food when all the spots open & eat on our balcony. I intend to spend a lot of time there so hope the chairs are comfy!! 😊 We had a Lido cabin on our first Triumph cruise. Loved the location. Soon as we were awake it would take me just a couple of minutes to run and get us coffee. Way more convenient than room service.

etbull Posted August 8, 2015 #13 Share Posted August 8, 2015 I am an early riser too, just off the triumph. Ordered room service coffee each night for the next morning. Only problem was that they always brought the coffee about 30 minutes prior to when I requested Room service coffee tasted better than the lido coffee
