Hi all,

 

I'm using my phone on Britannia to text back at home whilst in the med, I am with Tesco mobile and have been told by Tesco that I'll be able to text at sea and in port. Has anyone had any problems with texting from a mobile or calling? With either Tesco mobile or any other phone company. Or if they think it is a good idea, please tell me the perks of using a mobile at sea. Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Phoning while at sea will use satellite, so expensive.

Phoning while in port, will depend on the roaming charges for you package.

Mine ...we...I have a flat £2 a day,each day I use it.

OH.....3.....will be able to phone and surf the web,as in the UK...so free..

Tesco mobile fine in ports, when roaming you will get a txt msg from whichever partner Tesco has (Tesco runs on 02) Forget sea days, way too expensive as others have said.
