Sailing on the Emerald Princess Jan. 30, 2016

We are cruising on the Princess Line for the first time on Jan. 30, 2016. (Emerald Princess) We have sailed on the Celebrity Summit 4 times, Celebrity Reflection 1 time and Holland American Nieuw Amsterdam 1 time. Has anyone stayed in inside stateroom C516 on the Caribe Deck and is this a quiet deck to be on? Are the elevators not too far way from the stateroom?

We have been used to excellent service and how is the service on the Princess line? We chose this cruise because we like the islands they will be visiting.

They have a lot of choices for eating so I would assume the quality of the food is good. What is the quality of the shows in the main theatre?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Delmerboy! We'll be on this cruise with you! :)

While we've not stayed in C516, I can assure you it's in a great location ... just a few cabins away from the mid-ship elevator lobby ... very convenient! :)

We've also cruised on HAL & Celebrity and still do from time to time.

The service and the main dining room food is about the same on all three of these lines. The IC (International Café) on Emerald serving tasty snacks 24 hours a day is a nice plus.

Princess does a good job with the production shows in Princess Theater. We are also fond of their lounge entertainment.

You'll find more activities on Princess than on either Celebrity or HAL.

Emerald Princess is one of our very favorite ships and has lots to offer! :)

Looking forward to cruising with you. Please don't hesitate to ask if you have any other questions.

We are also sailing with you. We are Jan and Lanny and it is our first time on Emerald. The roll call has a lot of friendly people with tons of information. Many are veteran Princess people. We are looking forward to a great cruise.
