cougar404 Posted August 24, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 24, 2015 Hello fellow cruisers. Planning an Alaska cruise next July on Carnival. If I get off the ship as early as possible and have transportation pre-arranged, is an 11am flight from SEA a realistic possibly? Would love to hear about your experiences with early departure times. Thanks in advance for your help.
Rare Keith1010 Posted August 24, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 24, 2015 I would look for a flight at Noon. Yes, I think 11:00 AM is too tight which is why Carnival recommends no earlier than 11:45 AM. Keith
mapleleaves Posted August 24, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 24, 2015 Here's my standard information: - either pier is about a 30 minute drive to the airport, but give it an hour to allow for road/tunnel construction, city events, and the usual ugly Seattle traffic. - you should be at the airport 2 hrs prior for a domestic flight. SeaTac is extremely busy in the summer, especially on cruise days when there are thousands of cruise passengers. So, backing into that, you need to be off the ship and into a taxi/car service by 8/8:15am.
