dressing for the Caribbean

We are doing a Western Caribbean in a couple of weeks and 2 of the ports I'll be wearing by swim suite underneath my clothes. One is a beach day and the other is snorkeling. Would it be appropriate to just wear my swim suite cover up (which kinda looks like a dress) or should I wear shorts and a shirt?

Cover up, as long as it isn't "see-thru"....none of that meshy stuff or really sheer fabrics. There is no need to change. However, make sure you're DRY...most cabs won't take you if you're wet...15-20 mins. out of the water should do the trick!!!

Oh..and no camouflage clothing....those countries don't allow it! Just a side note!
