Has anyone stayed at The Clay hotel South beach. Have booked it for two nights pretty cruise. Would be interested to hear any comments. :)

Haven't stayed there but walk by it all the time.

 

It is so lovely! It is on Espanola Way which looks just like Havana in the 1950s! It's such a beautiful pedestrian street at night.

 

It is also across Espanola Way from one of my favorite Cuban restaurants Havana 1957.

 

You'll love the are.

 

The only cons I can think of is that it is a little bit of a hike to the beach and they don't have a pool. They may have sharing privileges with another property.

Thanks for info about The Clay hotel. Sounds like a brilliant location but I wonder what its like inside. Has anyone actually stayed there? Will try out your favourite restaurant whilst we are there.

we have stayed there and would do it again.

No frills but price was right. and hotel was clean.

Took public transportation from aiport to hotel.

Easy, 1 bus, drops you off 2 blocks away.

The Airport Flyer. It is an express bus and is about $2.85 a person.
