elite status

I had previously been told that one didn't receive elite perks until the sixteenth cruise. Someone just told me that the latest cruise answer booklet says that the 6th to 14th cruise qualifies for platinum membership and that the 15th+ cruise qualfies for elite. He says that means one attains elite status after the 14th cruise and receives the perks on the 15th. So we currently have a disagreement. Does anyone have a definitive answer? Thanks.

Got the Elite status package about a month or so ago...haven't cruised yet but am really looking forward to taking advantage of all those neato perks.

The dry cleaning/laundering alone should make it pay off!
