ScubaCruiser54 Posted September 10, 2015 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2015 We are going to Aruba in November. We will arrive mid day and will miss all of the morning "local" tours to beaches. There will be four of us and we want to find a nice beach that we can stay at for about three hours and then make it back to the Cruise ship in time for a sunset ride and drinks. We would appreciate any thoughts on sources of transportation and actual beaches that not only have nice sand, but also has protection from the sun [trees, covers, huts, etc]. Thanks for input. Marie51 Posted September 18, 2015 #2 Share Posted September 18, 2015 Many of the cab drivers take cruise ship passengers to Palm Beach which is very nice. At the area of beach where they drop you off there is a restaurant/bar and a gift shop. Also easy to get a cab back to the ship.
cb at sea Posted September 18, 2015 #3 Share Posted September 18, 2015 You do NOT need a "tour" to go to any beach! Grab a cab...tell them to go to Eagle or Palm beach...there are others, but are further away. Chair/umbrella rentals are there, and cabs are always around for the trip back to the ship. Rare Keith1010 Posted September 19, 2015 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2015 As others have said you can have a taxi take you to one of the beaches. Often we'll just negotiate for the driver to come back and pick us up. Keith
