snorkelman Posted September 29, 2015 #5 Share Posted September 29, 2015 (edited) I was there last week. This is really no big deal. When you stand on the beach, looking at the water, only the very far right side is under construction. The vast majority of the beach is normal. Basically the construction starts on the other side of the Kontiki. I took these pics last week http://oi62.tinypic.com/2cz7gjc.jpg http://oi58.tinypic.com/bg8dj8.jpg http://oi61.tinypic.com/2eltdom.jpg FWIW, Kontiki charged us $20 for two lounge chairs with thick cushions, and an umbrella. That gave us access to free wifi, showers and bathrooms. Edited September 29, 2015 by snorkelman
OSUZorba Posted September 30, 2015 #6 Share Posted September 30, 2015 Can you walk by the construction on the beach? Also every time I've been taxied to the beach they have dropped me off by Pedro's. Can you ask to be taken further up north?
